New cardy!

Abbie has been kind enough to lend me some of her beautiful clothes and this is her cardy! Mummy thinks it suits me really well and it is very warm!

New friend Rabbit

I am now getting to grips with my toys and like nothing better than trying to chew on them. My friend Rabbit (who used to be Harry's) is perfect for chewing on, once I negotiate getting it to my mouth!

Beautiful girl!!

Here is a picture of me looking as beautiful as ever! (Not that Mummy is biased or anything!)

Me and my Daddy!

Last Friday, Daddy went to his work's Christmas do in Bracknell. Harry and Sam stayed at Nanny's house for the night and I went with Mummy in the car to take him and pick him up at 11.30pm! I was a bit unsettled as I kept getting woken up and put back to bed again! Mummy fed me at midnight and I woke her and Daddy up at 6am on Saturday morning to get them back for disturbing me on Friday night!

My new toy!

Mummy has found me out Abbie's old kicking gym! I love it and spend ages kicking the board and making the rattles swing round! Infact I get so carried away I usually end up miles away from the board as I have kicked it so hard! Mummy has to rest it against the sofa now to stop it moving away!

Abbie's birthday

My niece Abbie was 2 last week and we were invited to her party tea. I had a great time in the bouncy chair and watching everyone running about.

Me and my big bro!

Now that I am starting to move around a bit more and make some noise, Sam has started to take notice of me. Although he does still poke me (usually in the eye) sometimes he smiles and laughs with me. Mummy thinks we are going to be partners in crime when I get a bit bigger!

My first Christmas!

Since 2008 will be my first Christmas, Mummy got me a special pink tree decoration to remember this!

Putting up the Christmas decorations

Mummy and Daddy decided to put up our Christmas decorations last weekend. Harry and Sam had a great time and I enjoyed watching all the activity!

My new hat!

Nanny bought me a new hat the other week. It is very cute and Mummy loves putting me in it! I am not sure if I am quite so keen on wearing it though, as I sometimes try and pull it off!

Rolling and rolling and rolling....

I have now well and truely got the hang of rolling. In fact, if Mummy leaves me on the floor for any length of time on my back I will roll onto my front and then over again. It doesn't matter if anything is in my way, as I will just wedge myself against it and cry until I am rescued!
Mummy and Daddy are starting to get a bit cross with me when I roll over in my crib in the middle of the night, as I usually get stuck and cry! If I wasn't so dependant on my dummy they would have moved me into the big cot (I was put in there a few weeks back but didn't last all night as Mummy and Daddy got fed up of keep coming in to sort me out!).

Rolling over!

Since I am such a wriggler, I very rarely stay still for long. Mummy has been putting me on my tummy quite a lot, and the other day I got so cross I arched my head right back and rolled over onto my back! Mummy thought this may have been a bit of a fluke, but twice today I have rolled over! Not bad for 17 weeks and 2 days old! (Mummy said Sam was at least 8 months before he did it and I am not even 4 yet!). Just need to learn to go from my back to my front now!

My Bumbo seat!

Now that I am holding my head up really well, Mummy thought I needed a change from sitting in the bouncy chair all the time. So she found out my pink bumbo chair. I really like it, although Mummy has to time it right when she puts me in it (not too soon after a feed or else I am sick!).

I am now on 6 6oz bottles a day (I don't always finish all of them, but most of them!). Mummy is hoping that pretty soon I will drop my night feed!

Balloons!

Mummy bought us all some helium balloons home from work the other day. Harry and Sam quite liked them but got bored of them quite quickly! However I took a fancy to them! Mummy put the strings under me and I discovered that if I move about the balloons moved as well! They kept me entertained for ages!

It's tiring being a baby!

Sometimes Mummy puts me in the travel cot to play as this keeps me away from Sam (he has a tendancy to grab and poke me and steal my dummy!). I've got a cute mobile that I like to chat to whilst I am in there and I am usually happy for at least 10-15 minutes.

When Mummy put me in there the other day, she wondered why it had gone quiet and discovered that I had fallen asleep! I guess my mobile wasn't quite as interesting as it usually is!

Having a bath

Since I have been quite poorly with my cough (which despite several doctor's visits hasn't gone onto my chest!) Mummy has been trying to find ways to make me comfortable. One way was having a bath, as the steam helped ease my chest. I still love my baths and don't look very ill in these photos!

Fireworks Night

Yesterday was my first ever fireworks night. The weather wasn't very nice though so we didn't actually get to see any fireworks (there was hardly any going off where we live). Daddy bought some sparklers though so we had some fun out the front with them!

Weight check: Week 15

Since me and Sam have been poorly, and we've had half term, Mummy hasn't taken me to the clinic for a while, however we went yesterday whilst Nanny stayed with Sam.

I weighed 12lb 8oz (5.68kg) which is just below the 25th percentile. Mummy was quite happy with this as I have been quite poorly with Sam's cough and had only been drinking 2-3oz at each feed. Today, however I have drunk every bottle so I must be on the mend! Let's hope I don't cough as much tonight and let Mummy and Daddy get some sleep!

My big cot

Now that I am getting bigger, Mummy wants to start getting me used to a big cot. I have still got plenty of room left in my crib, but I have started gripping onto the bars and Mummy is worried I will get my arm stuck soon! Daddy assembled the cot (Harry's old one from Nanny and Grandad's house) into Harry's room, so now I have two beds! It also means I get to look at my lovely new mobile Mummy got me (we can't put one in Sam's cot because he would rip it down!). Mummy set up the monitor and put me in my cot for a nap for the first time on tuesday. I have to say I was a very good girl and had fallen asleep by the time the music on my mobile had finished. I had kicked my blanket off though, as usual!

Halloween!

I celebrated my first ever Halloween last week. This involved lots of dressing up and noise (made mainly by my brothers!).
We had fun time with Charlie and Abbie and I got to wear the same top that Sam wore last year. Can you guess who's who?

Mummy's birthday!

On Thursday, my Mummy was 34 years old! I helped Daddy sign her card and I got her some Champagne truffles from Thorntons. In the evening Mummy and Daddy went out for a meal whilst Nanny Peggy looked after us. Before she went, Mummy had her photograph taken with me!

There were 3 in the bed....

Mummy and Daddy are always trying to get a nice photograph of me, Harry and Sam, which is not very easy since we don't always look at the camera at the same time. Here's one they tried earlier!....

Little Lady!

I am Mummy's "Little Lady!"

Keeping warm!

Every morning we have to take Harry to school. Now that the weather has turned chilly, Mummy has decided that my coat is just not warm enough some mornings. Hence she puts me in my snow suit (which she got from Freecycyle!). I feel snug as a bug in a rug when I am in it, although I am not very keen in actually getting into it (lots of pulling and pushing!)

My friend Sheep!

When I was born I got lots of presents. Harry's friend Robert Rush got me this lovely black and white sheep. Daddy placed it strategically in my moses basket so that I can see it. Now, when I am in my moses basket before I go to sleep, I spend a lot of time looking at and talking to my sheep (I think it is because of the contrasting colours!). Now, I am even beginning to grab it and have pulled it in with me more than once!

Smiles!

I have now well and truely got the hang of smiling and will do so whenever someone talks to me. However, getting a photograph of me smiling is a different story! Mummy has managed to catch me a couple of times recently but I am usually more interested in just staring the camera!

My Nanny!

We went to Nanny and Grandad's house for lunch on Sunday! I was a very good girl and slept lots. I played with my babygym whilst everyone ate their roast and then after lunch I got lots of cuddles! My Nanny held me for ages and we had a nice cooing conversation!

Nasty Jabs again!

I had to have some more injections yesterday. The nurse made me scream just like last time but I soon calmed down and was back to sleep before we left the surgery! Once again I didn't need any calpol, as all I did was sleep! (During the day that is - had quite a restless night though!)

Weight Check: Week 11

We went to Baby Clinic again yesterday. I now weigh a whopping 11lb 10oz (5.22kg) which takes me above the 25th centile.
Aren't I doing well!
It must be the six 5oz bottles I am drinking every day!

Being an Auntie!

Being an Auntie can be hard work - even though Charlie and Abbie usually look after me rather than the other way around!

Sleeping!

Mummy has got me into a really good bedtime routine now. After tea (everyone else's - not mine!) we all go upstairs for a bath. I love having a bath and never ever cry when I am in it (even when I was tiny). Sam has his bottle and a story, then I have my bottle whilst Harry reads his school book to me. I then go to bed and am usually asleep by 7pm.

However when Mummy asks Daddy to help, the routine usually goes out of the window!

My brother's Harry and Sam!

My big brother Harry loves me millions, and spends a lot of time kissing me every day! He also asks to hold me lots as well.
Sam on the other hand likes to prod and poke me and he has also started to steal my dummy - even though my dummys are pink and Sam's are blue!
All in all I am very lucky to have 2 great brothers who I live with. I am quite happy sitting in my bouncy chair watching them play (or fight!) and mummy can then get on with all her jobs!

Sleeping bag!

It has started to get really cold at night and since I am quite a restless baby I am always kicking my blankets off (especially when I get cross when I want to be fed!). So Mummy has found out Harry and Sam's first sleeping bag and tonight I will sleep in it for the first time. At least I will be nice and warm all night (unlike Mummy who will get cold coming downstairs to get my bottle and then feed me!)

A brother and a nephew!

At the weekend, my biggest brother Michael came round with my nephew Alfie. Alfie is one at the weekend (when I will be almost 11 weeks old!). It is weird that Alfie and I will be in the same school year even though he seems so much older!

My baby Gym

Now that I am getting older, I am getting much more aware of my surroundings. Mummy tried putting me under a babygym the other day (it used to be both Harry and Sam's gym first!).

I loved it and spent ages waving my arms about and sometimes hitting the dangly things! I even cooed and chatted to the animals as well!

Feeding the ducks!

Whilst Daddy was working last weekend, we went for a walk into Hawley Woods to feed the ducks. Harry liked throwing the bread in whereas Sam liked eating it. As for me, I obviously liked the fresh air and spent the whole walk asleep!

I'm Auntie Maddie - my niece Abbie!

I was lucky enough to be visited by my big sister Lisa and niece Abbie last weekend (Danny helped Daddy with the turf!). Abbie loves to hold me (I think she is getting in practice for when Lisa has her baby in a few months time! I'll be an Auntie again!!!)

Helping in the garden!

Daddy was really busy last weekend laying turf in our back garden. This has meant Mummy was very busy looking after me, Sam and Harry whilst he did it. When Daddy finished, he needed to water it, and since Mummy had to take Harry to a party, I went out in the garden to help Daddy!

Weight Check: Week 9

Mummy ventured to the clinic again yesterday with me and Sam. I now weigh 10lb 7oz (4.77kg) which is exactly 3lbs heavier than when I was born! Still on the 25th centile though.

First Set of Jabs

Not a very nice day for me today -I had my first set of jabs. Despite me coughing and sneezing alot in the night and this morning, the nurse said it was okay for me to have my jabs since I didn't have a temperature (Mummy tried to get me out of having them!!!).

I screamed as soas the nurse did the injections but soon calmed down! Have been sleeping a lot this afternoon though. Mummy is hoping that it won't affect my sleeping tonight since I was a really good girl last night and slept from 7pm till 7am with a quick feed at 2am!

I'm Auntie Maddie - my nephew Charlie!

I am really lucky that as well as 3 brothers and 3 sisters, I also have 1 niece and 2 nephews!
My nephew Charlie came for tea tonight and he held me for ages!

Weight Check: Week 7

Me and Mummy had to go to the Doctors last week for our postnatal check up. Both of us are doing okay! The nurse weighed me and I am now 9lb 6oz and my head circumference is 38cm, which is 2.5cm bigger than when I was born!

Mummy has now put me onto bottles, which means I am feeding a bit quicker, although I don't seem to be sleeping much more!! Daddy offered to help Mummy out last night and feed me during the night. I was such a good girl and only woke once (when I usually wake up twice for Mummy). It also means Sam is less jealous of Mummy holding me all the time!
