I found an apple!

Mummy wondered what I was up to when I was quiet the other day! When she found me, I was sat in the hall with an apple I had found in Mummy's bag - I thought I was very clever to manage to eat as much as I did!
First Birthday and my First steps!
Now I am One!
I had my first birthday a couple of weeks ago, and now I am One! I had a really lovely day. I opened my presents in the morning (with a bit of help from Harry and Sam) and then Mummy took Sam and I round to play with Oliver and Matthew whilst Harry was at school. After school, Nanny, Grandad, Lisa, Abbie, Charlie, Ben and Hannah came round. We had a party tea and I had a caterpillar cake.

Fun in the garden!
Weight Check: Week 49
Mummy finally got round to having me weighed again (the last time was when I was 33 weeks). She discovered that the baby clinic is at the Church on the Heath on thursday mornings where we do coffee with Lynn and Vicky. So, one morning (when I was 49 weeks and 2 days) she got me weighed. I am now 9.06kg, 19lb 15.5oz, which puts me a little bit below the 50th centile! Aren't I doing well!As we finished the last Aptimal box Mummy put me onto cows milk now and after the first day of not being sure, I love it now! And Mummy loves no more sterlizing of bottles!!
My pal Buster!
The sand table!
Alfie's Christening
Alfie had his Christening a month or so ago (which reminds Mummy she still has to arrange mine and Sam's!).Sam and I got a bit bored in thr chuch and made some noise! After the service we went to the Queen's Head pub and there was a massive bouncy castle there. After having some lunch I got to have lots of bounces on it! Mummy and I also had our photo taken together!

Anything you can do......!
My second Haven holiday!
We were lucky enough to go on another Haven holiday earlier this year (May half term bank holiday). This time we went to Devon Sands (in Devon) with Lisa, Danny, Marie, Charlie, Abbie and Ben. We had a lovely big caravan and there was so much space I was able to sleep in the same bedroom as Mummy and Daddy (which Mummy was relieved about as she wasn't very happy about leaving me in the lounge!). All that practice of sleeping in a travel cot at Nanny's house was put put to good use and I behaved beautifully in my cot every night! Our site had it's very own beach and we had great fun playing on the sand and eating our picnic lunch! We also did lots of swimming in the indoor pool, where I loved splashing! In the evenings we went to the clubhouse to watch the shows. Even though it was way past my bedtime I was a very good girl and was happy to sit in my buggy and watch everything going on. As stubborn as I am, I wouldn't go to sleep until we got back to the caravan though!
Going to my first birthday party

Sam and I were invited to a birthday party - it was for my friend Alice's first birthday. Mummy dressed us both up in our party clothes and we had a great time playing with Alice and a few of her other friends and lots of different toys! Mummy wasn't brave enough to let me have any cake though, as she thought I would get in a mess!
Big Girl's lunch!
Now that I have 6 teeth, Mummy has started giving me a "big girl's lunch" (i.e the same as what Sam has!). I much prefer this, even though it takes me ages to eat everything (I at least try everything on my plate and will eat cucumber and tomatoes, unlike Sam!) I make it very clear when I have finished as well since I throw everything on the floor, including my plate!A new hat!
I can stand up on my own (well against something!)

Easily pleased!

When I was playing in the garden the other day (Mummy and Daddy don't bother with a blanket anymore because I crawl off it straight away!) I found a new toy that kept me amused for ages! This stick was fantastic - must ask Mummy to find me another one next time I'm out!
I am not so happy about keeping my hat on - Mummy is on the look out for a hat with a strap on, to stop me pulling it off!
My first pigtail!
Ever since I was born, Mummy has been impatiently waiting for my hair to grow so she can put it in pigtails. Last weekend she bought some little bobbles and managed to get some of my hair up! Nanny said I looked cute, although she was a bit worried that my head went a bit red where Mummy had pulled my hair! Not quite long enough for 2 bunches yet though!
(Mummy has also noticed that my other top tooth is now through - that makes 4 in total - I am doing things quickly!! I am also now a proficient crawler, so much so Mummy often loses me if she turns her back for a minute! I am now trying to pull myself up, but this usually results in me falling over and hitting my head! I am sure it won't be long!!!)

A different bath!

A couple of weekends ago, Nanny and Grandad very kindly offered to have Harry, Sam and I to sleep for the night, to give Mummy and Daddy a lie in!
We went round for Sunday roast (which wasn't the most relaxing lunch we've ever had since Sam and I were quite whingey!). After we had a play, Mummy was going to help Nanny bath us before she went home. However, when Mummy turned the hot tap on in Nanny's bath, it wouldn't turn off (Nanny and Grandad don't use their bath very often since they have a shower). Turns out something worked lose and got stuck in the tap! So whilst everyone was trying to sort out the tap (and Grandad's plumber friend came round) Mummy gave me a bath in Nanny's kitchen sink. I have to say I quite enjoyed it and was fascinated by the taps!

I've got the pox!
Sam and I are getting ever closer, (in that he has finally started taking notice of me, and if he sees my dummy on the floor he will go to great effort to pop it back in my mouth, even if I don't want it!!) and we have now shared chicken pox! I got my first spots exactly two weeks after Sam got his! Monday afternoon I got about 4 spots and Mummy wasn't convinced it was chicken pox but by Tuesday morning she was sure! It is now Wednesday night and I have hundreds of spots - much more than Sam had! I have got them everywhere, lots in my hair, loads on my face and tummy and back. Unlike Sam I don't like having aqueous calamine put on, although Mummy let me have a lovely long b
ath tonight with lots of bircarbonate of soda in so she's hoping I feel a bit more comfy! I have got a high temperature though (was 39.5c at one point, but it's down to 38.9 now). I am suffering much more than Sam did, although Mummy is hoping this means I won't get it ever again!!!!On a more positive note, Mummy noticed this morning that one of my top teeth (my right one) has now come through!!!

Eating!
I have now well and truely got the hang of eating! I have a 6oz bottle when I wake up and a bowl of baby cereal for breakfast. I usually snooze for half an hour or so during the school run. Then I have a 6oz bottle around 10.30am, sometimes I drink it sometimes I don't! Mummy then tries to keep me awake till lunchtime, which is 12pm (this is because she likes Sam and I to both sleep at the same time!). For lunch I have a whole jar of babyfood (or half a jar of the next stage jars which Mummy is giving me now to get me used to lumps!). I have a yogurt for pudding and sometimes a crust of Sam's bread if he leaves any! By 12.30 Sam and I are both in bed, we usually sleep for at least an hour (and if Mummy is really lucky 2 hours!!!).
When we get back from school I have another 6oz bottle, sometimes I drink it, sometimes I don't! Tea is at 5pm and I have one of Mummy's cooked meals. My favourite so far is fish with vegetables and cheese sauce, although I usually eat anything! I have a jar of pudding and then mummy gives me something to chew on whilst everyone else has their tea. Rusks are my favourite!
We go upstairs at 6pm, sometimes have a bath and then it's another bottle at 6.30pm. (7oz of purple milk). I am usually in bed by 6.50pm and asleep by 7pm! I have been waking up at around 4.30am the last few mornings and have woken Sam up, but we usually go back to sleep eventually (and then Mummy has to wake me up to go to school!!!)
A bathed baby!
I can make mischief!
If you leave me on my own (for just a few minutes) I am extremely quick at touching things I shouldn't!Nappy sacks are a particular favourite of mine. If Mummy is stupid enough to leave the packet out I can pull nearly all of them out in one go! (Mummy says it is nearly impossible to get the nappy sacks to fit back in the packet once they have been pulled out!!!). It must be the nice smell of them that I am attracted to!
I can sit up!

Trying to crawl!
Now that I am a proficient roller and I am able to change direction on my tummy, Mummy often finds me hiding under the table or wedged up against the window! My latest trick is going up on to all fours and rocking. I tend to get quite frustrated with this as this makes me go backwards instead of forwards and I end up further away from the object I am trying to reach! I'm sure it won't be long before I figure it out!
Weight Check: Week 33
Mummy has finally got round to taking me to Baby Clinic to be weighed. I am now 17lb 9oz (7.97kg). I was on the 25th centile but I have now moved up and I between the 25th and 50th centile! It must be all this food I am eating!I now have a bottle in the morning when I wake up and then a big bowl of breakfast cereal at 8am. After my nap I have a bottle around 10am. After another sleep I have one of Mummy's food ice cubes for lunch and then either a yogurt or a fruit pot, all washed down with water. I have a bottle at 3.30pm and my tea at 5pm, which is a while jar. I usually munch on half a rusk whilst Mummy and Daddy have their tea and then I have a bottle before I go to bed, at 6.30pm.
I am still quite tiny though and have only just gone into 6-9 month clothes!
Me and my nephew!
My taggy blanket

Mummy has noticed how much I like playing with labels, especially on my muslins when I am having my bottle. So she bought me this very smart Taggy blanket, which is pink and soft and has lots of ribbons sewn all the way around it for me to play with! I have to say this blanket is a hit and I love playing with it before I go to sleep in my cot! Clever Mummy!
Almost sitting up!
I am trying really hard to beat Sam at everything and so far I am winning (apart from sleeping through the night which he won hands down!). Not only did I roll over much earlier, (and also got my first teeth first - see later post!) but I am also nearly sitting up (Sam was around 9 months before he was able to do this). I am not quite sturdy enough to be left for long, but I am getting the hang of it!Helping in the Garden

Now that Spring is nearly here, Mummy and Daddy have been getting very excited about going in the garden and putting the greenhouse together, ready for all the seeds we are going to plant! So, that means I get to go out in the garden as well! Not sure how much help I am though as I tend to get bored after a little while!
My Great Great Uncle Ken's birthday!
A couple of weeks ago we went up to Wimbledon to celebrate my Great Great Uncle Ken's birthday. He was 96 years old! Everyone was at his house, which meant lots of children (Harry, Sam, Alfie, Charlie, Abbie, Ben and me) and we were quite hard work to look after since Ken has so many fun things to touch in his lounge! We all went to the park as it was such a nice day and since I was having so much fun I didn't even want to have a nap in the buggy!
After I had had my tea and we had a big group photo we all came home. What a big family we are and it's great fun when we all get together
!
!Cheap Toys!
A little holiday at Nanny and Grandads!
Over Valentine's weekend I had a little holiday at Nanny and Grandad's house. This is because Mummy, Daddy, Harry and Sam all went to Eurodisney for the weekend and they didn't want to take me! I guess all those bottles and naps make me a bit of a hinderance at times, and also Mummy said it was too cold for meto be outside in the buggy all day!
So Mummy packed up all my stuff (and there was lots of it!) and I stayed with Nanny and Grandad. I think on the whole I was a good girl, although I think the early starts wore Nanny out a bit (I'm usually awake anytime from 6am onwards!). I had lots of fun but I did get excited when I saw Mummy and Daddy again as I had missed them!

It snowed!
On Monday we all woke up to over a foot of snow! Everyone seemed very excited, although I couldn't really see what all the fuss was about! Mummy and Daddy wanted to take Harry and Sam for a walk in the woods, but they thought it would be too cold for me so I got to play at Nanny Peggy's. Mummy made sure I was nice and warm and I even had my photograph taken outside!
Eating a rusk!
On Sunday Lisa, Danny, Abbie and Ben came for Sunday roast. I was particularly grouchy and when everyone was eating their dinner, I wasn't very happy to sit in my walker and watch. So Mummy gave me half a rusk to chew on and I really enjoyed it! I managed to eat it without choking, my main problem was dropping it. Mummy helped me to pick it up again but we both got a bit messy!
Recycling clothes!

Mummy tried to get me some pink babygros in size 3-6 months in the Next sale, but couldn't, so she decided just to use Sam's old ones (I do have some pink ones, but if Mummy hasn't washed any for a few days I sometimes need a spare!).
I don't really mind what I wear, but Mummy thinks I look like a girl, even when I am wearing Sam's clothes!
